What is it about?

Computers have been used in a creative way for some time now. But not every interaction with a computer is creative. What distinguishes creative interaction from non-creative interaction? And how can we have a scientific model of this kind of co-creativity which can be tested? Surprisingly, there is no such model yet. But there are several research results from different research fields which can be integrated for such a model.

Why is it important?

The goal of enhancing human creativity with computers is as old as computer science. If we want to know how to build computers for this purpose and how to use computers is this way, we need to have a scientific model and we need to be able to test if such a model is correct or not.

Perspectives

I have arrived at this research because I wanted to build a computer support system for creative design and had to acknowledge that computer science has no proper understanding of the underlying topic of co-creativity.
