What is it about?

Any engineering system could be represented as a physical network. Global physical networks approach is explained here, and applied in transportation systems. Physical quantities like speed, force, power, and energy are studied, monitored, and presented.

Why is it important?

The main contribution of this modelling application is in its capability to obtain various data from any part of the system which could be used for the improvement of overall system safety and reliability.

Perspectives

This publication, through the application of physical networks, shows unity of nature. Physical quantities, in various systems, are expressed with the same forms of ordinary differential equations. It is great pleasure to analyse and design complex engineering systems using the same mathematical tools and expressions.
