What is it about?

It is essential to introduce children to the STEM topics (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and motivate them to pursue studies in these fields. Barry initiated such a program (in collaboration with Kanematsu) to promote creativity and combine it with STEM education. The program is presented and briefly described in this chapter paper.

Why is it important?

Creativity is needed to survive and prosper in the rapidly changing world nowadays. STEM is one of the important tools to exert creativity and to solve the daily problems effectively. We wrote the relation Among creativity, STEM education and daily lives in this chapter paper.

Perspectives

Creative STEM students are essential at the postsecondary level. In order for this to be possible, children need to be introduced to STEM topics (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and motivated to pursue studies in these fields. The program initiated by Barry helps address this problem by promoting creativity and combining it with STEM Education. (excerpts from this chapter paper.)
