What is it about?

In this chapter paper, we discussed the merits and significance of the application of SNS to STEM education. Facebook, google something, twitter, Skype and so on. We described the possibility from the positive viewpoints here. Particularly, we mentioned the concrete examples for Twitter and Facebook.

Why is it important?

SNS has many advantages for STEM Education. Youngsters know how to use it. Group sharing is always possible and it would lead to the learning in the group like that in usual real classrooms. They have LMS function to some extent originally. Virtual presentations are basically possible.

Perspectives

This is our chapter paper in the past. Around three years ago, we wrote it. Nowadays, many new SNS have appeared continuously. For other applications of many interesting social networking services, we would like you, the readers, to find new cases and develop them in the future.
