Why is it important?

In the research, we conducted a social survey to determine the role of ICT in multilingual learning via social nets on the example of English as a foreign language (EFL). This allowed us to build a framework model using modern social net messengers as: WhatsApp, Telegram, and VK Messenger to receive and share information and instructional materials for teachers and students.

Perspectives

This study confirms the possibility of social networks to integrate the linguistic diversity as a useful tool in the learning process. Sharing and receiving learning materials through social media and using various digital tools have shown how students can improve word comprehension in context, increase language levels using text, audio, and video files, and develop skills not only verbally but also in writing through group chats on messengers.
