What is it about?

Learning challenges should be continuesly interesting at each age-group and experience level, to allow life-long learning. There are many education kits to teach robotics at high schools, and many interesting challenges at graduate level. In this paper we studied what is an interesting level for a 'gamefied' challenge at the intermediate level (college / undergraduate).

Why is it important?

Robotics is an ideal platform to introduce many important techniques that are currently applied in society. The interest in science & technology is high at a young age, but we should keep it interesting for all ages. That means that we have to find a balance between too simple and too challenging.

Perspectives

Personally I not only worked on the different robot simulation platforms, but also looked how you could transfer the programs to real robots, because that allows to demonstrate what you have build directly in front of you.
