Why is it important?

This simple economic and environment-friendly technique can be used to increase the porosity of polystyrene particles and may find potential applications as catalysts, fillers, coating materials and drug delivery

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long-standing collaborations. We were amazed that hollow polystyrene particles could be achieved without passing through all the other tedious and complex synthetic technique postulated by previous authors.
