What is it about?

Because some of our daily products contain toxic constituents, thermal waste treatment is nevcessary to transform these hazardous chemicals into harmless substances. Complete recycling is not possible.

Why is it important?

Some experts believe, that a complete circular economy is feasible. This paper shows the limits to a circular economy, and the need for end of pipe solutions such as incineration (WTE)

Perspectives

All toxic substances that we produce and use require finally an ultimate sink for disposal, such as a thermal waste treatment process for organic substances, or (underground) storage sites for inorganic substances.
