What is it about?

The chapter summarizes the data presented in the entire book on the Nabta Playa late Prehistory gathered during the period between 1990 and 1999. It integrates this with the information available from earlier reported sites in the Southwestern Desert of Egypt researched in the field seasons of 1972-1980. It briefly describes the cultural development in southwestern Egypt between about 10,000 and 1500 BCE. The book also revises our previous view on the complex climatic sequence during the Holocene Wet Period in the Western Desert of Egypt.
