Why is it important?
It looks at the way that people describe racism as due to 'ignorance'.
Perspectives
For me this research is important because it looks at the claim that racism is due to 'ignorance'. Saying racism is due to ignorance suggests that it is not intended, that it is excusable, and also that it could be addressed through education. Personally I think it is important to reflect on this explanation of racism.
