What is it about?

This study explores how commercial banks and regulated financial institutions can systematically build Responsible AI capabilities by integrating governance, ethical accountability, workforce development, technology partnerships, and organizational transformation. Using a novel integration of Fuzzy Interpretive Structural Modelling (FISM) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT), the research develops a structured capability-building framework for responsible AI adoption in banking and financial services. Our findings highlight that responsible AI is not merely a technological issue, but a strategic organizational capability requiring: • Ethical governance mechanisms • Specialized workforce development • Legacy system alignment • Strong technology partnerships • Long-term transformation readiness
