What is it about?

The use of NSAIDs is connected to gastro-enteric side effects. In general, their presence is neglected because there are more prevalent damages on the gastro-duodenal tract. The microbiota may influence the incidence of the enteropathy. This article describes in detail what the literature reports on this topic.

A deep study of the of the pathophysiological origin of the intestinal lesions due to the use of NSAIDs helps in finding the solution to the problem. It seems that the presence of microbiota in the intestine, and the use of specific probiotics might help.
