Why is it important?
Prevalence and incidence of neurodegenerative diseases is increasing, also because of the increased life expectancy. Physicians should be more conscious on the available potentialities of prevention and cure for such health problem.
Perspectives
Knowing better the pathophysiology of a group of important chronic diseases is always the right starting to increase the quality of management of patients affected by the diseases. This review article put in evidence the current knowledges on the topic.
