What is it about?

The behavior of notch cracks under the effect of a borehole was studied and described frequently. However, the Fracture Analysis Code, Franc2D, has no fluid parameters, and the behavior of crack propagation was satisfied with experimental work. The results were also verified with some expression of the stress intensity factor (SIF) and energy release. As compared with Geocrack, Franc2D has advantages in computing SIF and G. Also, Franc2D has a preprocessor program called Casca that can simulate a variety of geometry.
