What is it about?
The genus Ajuga, a member of the Lamiaceae family, consists of annual and perennial herbaceous flowering plants. The demand for Ajuga species has rapidly increased due to their medicinal, ornamental, and pharmacological properties. In recent years, in vitro tissue culture techniques have been used to protect endemic plants.

Why is it important?
Ajuga xylorrhiza Kit Tan is a rare endemic perennial species growing in the stony habitats in Southeastern Anatolia region, Turkey. An efficient and reproducible protocol has been developed for micropropagation of endangered Ajuga xylorrhiza.
Perspectives
I believe that it is a great service to provide information to researchers working in the field of plant physiology and plant biotechnology with this study.
