Bitcoin made the breakthrough for the Blockchain technology. But is there even more potential? We compare multiple application scenarios for the Blockchain. We also discuss whether the use of blockchain for these scenarios makes sense or whether there are better and more efficient alternatives.

Why is it important?
Our analysis showed that it did not make sense to use Blockchain for these application scenarios. Instead they could have been replaced with better alternatives. Before just following the hype, one should check carefully if a Blockchain is really necessary (which is not in many cases).
