Online teaching and learning tools offer many features for both instructors and students. What are the impacts of these tools on students' final grades as a measure of learning outcomes? We compare two competing online learning tools in this study.

The ways to measure students' learning outcomes matter. Although the final grade is one way to measure the learning outcomes, it is important to look at other variables that make up the final grade.

While it appears one online learning technology has more impact on students' learning than the other, a deeper look at the data requires other ways to measure student's learning.
