What is it about?
Appropriate samples for TB diagnosis remains a challenge in high HIV/AIDS setting. Use of GeneXpert is a major breakthrough for TB diagnosis, however, its clinical utility to diagnose TB using non-pulmonary samples is limited.

Stool sample is more available than sputum, and its use for TB diagnosis would improve on case detection especially in HIV settings and children unable to provide high quality specimen.
