As AI and digital technologies become part of everyday life, they are also reshaping how future architects and planners are trained. This study looks at how these changes are unfolding in ASEAN, taking into account cultural context and real-world challenges.

Why is it important?
AI can optimize efficiency, speed, and performance. But architecture in ASEAN is also deeply tied to culture, climate, and social life. If education leans too heavily on technology without reflection, there is a risk of losing local identity, craft, and context-sensitive design.

I hope this article prompts readers to reconsider how students learn and think in an increasingly digital world. As daily relationships with technology evolve, so too does the way information and data are interpreted and applied—both in education and in industry practice.
