What is it about?
The aim of this chapter is to analyze historical milestones in Mexican radio, beginning with the first broadcasts in 1921 to date. The particular focus of this historical review is the macro and micro economic variables that contributed to the configuration of the industry and a description of the principal firms involved in the sector. The objective is to describe the beginnings and development of the industry from various perspectives that will permit better understanding of the current reality, as well as the challenges and opportunities offered by the radio sector in Mexico.
