Outcome of non‐visualization of fetal gallbladder on second‐trimester ultrasound: cohort study and systematic review of literature

What is it about?

Non-visualisation of fetal gallbladder (NVFGB) is a rare condition. If persistent, NVFGB may be associated with more serious conditions, such as biliary atresia (BA) or cystic fibrosis (CF). The purpose of the present study was to provide a comprehensive review of the literature on NVFGB, in order to help in the management and counselling of pregnancies affected by this condition
