What is it about?

Fundal pressure in the second stage of labor (Kristeller maneuver) is sometimes practiced in order to accelerate fetal head descent. The evidence on its benefits and risks is scarce. In the present study, we demonstrated that Kristeller maneuver is associated with more than a double risk of pelvic floor muscle injury.
