What is it about?

The study presents the results of introducing a policy of measuring the length of the cervix (ie the neck of the womb) in all pregnant women at 20-24 weeks followed by progesterone therapy in the ones with shortened cervix, in order to prevent preterm delivery. In the population receiving this intervention very early birth was reduced by almost 30%.
