What is it about?
The management of vaginal hematomas remains a matter of debate. Whereas, some advocate conservative management, in large hematomas surgical treatment remains the main therapeutic line. although it may fail in some cases with potential severe complications. In the present case, we showed how transperineal ultrasound can accurately describe the extension of the hematoma, and above all to detect a persistently bleeding vessel following surgery necessitating embolization.
