What is it about?
Patients that develop pre-eclampsia or fatal growth restriction show signs of impaired placental function. This can possibly reduce the amount of fetal DNA in cell-free DNA testing for Down's syndrome. We show an association of fetal fraction on this test with other markers for pre-eclampsia in the first trimester of the pregnancy.
