What is it about?

There is no consistency in recommendations made by national regulatory bodies with regard to training in obstetric and gynaecologic ultrasound during residency. This results in lack of self-reported competency in gynecologic skills among final-year residents and could potentially affect their ability to incorporate ultrasound into future practice. Ultrasound training around the world should be standardised in keeping with ISUOG recommendations in order to improve patient care.
