Placental histopathology associated with pre‐eclampsia: systematic review and meta‐analysis

What is it about?

Pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia present an higher number of histological placental lesions compared to normal pregnancies. We show that, when the pathologist is aware of preeclampsia affecting the pregnancy, there is a higher chance of over-estimating the presence of those lesions.
