What is it about?

Ultrasonography examinations of fetal cardiocirculation may help identify an accelerated idioventricular rhythm (AIVR) before birth. Atrioventricular dissociation is easily identified on the superior vena cava/aorta Doppler recordings. The simultaneous recording of aortic isthmus and ductus arteriosus waveforms can determine the left or right ventricular origin of the arrhythmia.
