What is it about?

The novel system proposed is based on bee swarm logic and would consist of a designed collective intelligence platform co-ordinating the work of a number of competing , self-organising research groups , each using evolutionary algorithms to optimise their potential solution to a given innovation problem . The first solution to recruit for itself a quorum level of independently evaluated support would win the competition and its supporters would then be able to develop the solution through to implementation .

Why is it important?

The proposed innovation system would provide a number of crucial advantages over the centralised research and development arrangements found in most large human organisations . The system would liberate innovative talent , generate a full diversity of potential solutions , ensure a more unbiased and noise free evaluation of each solution's potential profitability , provide an unbiased mechanism for selecting the best competing solutions and ensure an optimal balance between the speed and accuracy of deciding on the best solution for further development .

Perspectives

This article proposes an innovation system that would utilise a symbiotic working relationship between computer algorithms and human brains .
