What is it about?

Tuition-dependent colleges stepped up enrollment to add more revenue and improve their financial situation. It turned out that faculty did not like this move and warned that there will be consequences on education quality and the university overall. They also argue that this might not be the best path to resolving financial distress, it might make the financial situation worse.

Why is it important?

Universities enrollment growth is a prevalent phenomenon and we offer a holistic yet straightforward view of the issue that helped bring together administrators and faculty to talk about this continuous matter. We built an interactive management flight simulator that was used to run multiple what-if scenarios and come up with useful and practical insights moving forward.

Perspectives

The project was a unique experience for me working with respected faculty and top-level administrators on a critical topic and come up with a working model that represented both views on the subject. It was a fun and educational experience.
