What is it about?
This is a presentation of a demonstrator for the "third generation" paper; an augmented book with hidden electronics that provides seamless links to digital media. Videos, images, sounds, and weblinks can be triggered to a nearby screen by a simple interaction with a hybrid paper book.

Why is it important?
A new form of interaction with digital displays is described, using the pages and binding of a physical book as the interface. This leads to a form of augmented book, or a‐book, which can seamlessly trigger multimedia content on a nearby device using embedded light, pressure or touch sensors.
Perspectives
It has been an honour to present at Display Week 2020 and exhibit at the iZone part of the conference this unique paper interface, which we are hoping will change the way we interact with multimedia and screens in the future.
