What is it about?
DVB-S2X defines APSK modulation schemes upto 256-ary. In order to get desirable decoding performances from a soft iterative decoder for LDPC codes, bit-by-bit soft information should be obtained. This paper presents very efficient method to extract these soft information from a high-order APSK modulation symbol, with almost linear order complexity.
