What is it about?

Review article about Cyclotron-phonon assisted resonance in semiconductors from 1978 includs theoretical and experimental researches dedicated to the magneto-optical study of the electron-phonon interaction in semiconductors, namely resonace caused by absorption ov two quasi-particles - photon and phonon, simultanously.

Why is it important?

The phenomenon of the resonance with emission of LO-phonons at electron transition between the Landau levels in strong magnetic field with simultanously absorption of photon belong to the non-linear effect in the solid state physics, experimental observation of which is difficalt and requaered avanced technique.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations, particularly, with Prof. V. I. Ivanov-Omskii.
