Why is it important?

This an unique and novel concept in semicrystalline polyurethane system. The concept is enlightened by a new switch-spring-frame model, which can eliminate the limitation of existing models which overlooks the stimulus responsive nature of such polymers. This breakthrough would enable researchers to develop applications in multidisciplinary areas such pressure garments, sensors, massage devices, where needing stimuli responsive forces.
