While serving as the District Chair for Secondary Student Services, it became apparent that the work of high school counselors and college assistance advisors play an essential role in supporting students in their efforts to graduate high school and access postsecondary education. Use of Binder's Six Boxes Model allowed me the opportunity to systematically identify and analyze of the barriers and enablers impacting how high school counselors and college advisors could more effectively utilize data-driven decision-making.
