What is it about?

This work is about the interaction of a polymer blend with solvents. This polymer-solvent interaction is very important when the industrial application is concerned. The interaction varies with the composition and structure of the blends. One can fine tune the property by changing the composition and structure

Why is it important?

Nylon/NBR system exhibit excellent properties and found applications in several industrial areas. We explain the role of blend ratio and compatibilizer and dynamic cross linking in diffusion characteristics of the blends. Solvent characteristics are influenced by the morphology of the blend systems developed

Perspectives

Nylon/NBR blends were prepared by varying the blend ratio, compartmentalization and dynamic crosslinking. In all these systems the morphology plays a key role in deciding the transport properties. By knowing these aspects one can fine tune a polymer blend for desirable solvent characteristics
