What is it about?

This material is widely used in construction. In this way, creating WPCs with sustainable and renewable materials is the goal of this research area. Our WPC has 2/3 of these materials, a major step in technological advancement. In addition, the use of tannin as a natural compatibilizer increases the added value of this raw material.

Why is it important?

The material we present here is inedited. WPC with only 30% of plastic are not common, but the ones in which tannin is added are absolutely new. Researches in tannin field are growing exponentially and therefore we believe that this paper will be a milestone in the field of sustainable, natural and green WPC landscape.

Perspectives

Our strategies lead to the creation of WPC with renewable and environmentally friendly materials. In this way, optimizing the use of tannin would be the next step.
