Why is it important?
The clay modification has been done with different materials, but using a corrosion inhibitor with moderate water solubility, as a modifier is a new one. Moreover, by using the modified clay in an epoxy coating at three different concentrations showed an enhancement in the corrosion resistance of the epoxy coating.
