What is it about?

It has been reported that oxidative stress is associated with metabolic syndrome. We have examined whether urinary 8-iso-prostaglandin F2α (8-iso-PGF2α) is a reliable marker of the accumulation of metabolic risks in a cross-sectional study of the baseline characteristics of a Japanese general population cohort study: Research on Osteoarthritis/Osteoporosis Against Disability (ROAD).
