Why is it important?

Global warming and climate change affect the entire population of the world. Minimizing/eliminating packaging waste will reduce the need for landfills and associated transportation.

Perspectives

Packaging is a waste. It has a very specific purpose in transportation and storage. However, its cost is built into the price of the product. If the cost of packaging is written separately or charged separately, customers would not pay for it. More/attractive packaging is used to lure customers, which has no functional value but costs a lot and ends up in the garbage.
