What is it about?
A novel antenna that can be used as satellite DTH antenna in Mobile phone, Laptop Ipad, etc like devices. This can also be used in RADAR operating in Military X-Band. Excellent integration with multiple microwave integrated circuits. Its Broadband pattern also supports omni-directional communication.

Why is it important?
In this articles we introduced novel feeding mechanism that can interface with any RDRA structure to generate Wideband/UWB results. In addition to the above absence of conductors the efficiency of the RDRA increases naturally and thereby improving the transmission and reception characteristics of the antenna. Further the frequency of operation can also be regulated only by varying the dimensions of the feed, keeping the DR slab dimensions constant. This adds a new degree of freedom to the antenna designer.
Perspectives
It gives me great pleasure to present this article which adds freshness to the research in the domain of Wide-band antennas. The article is published with co-author who happens to be the guiding force behind the research being carried out. The article provides freedom to antenna designers and researchers to design antennas at various frequency ranges by keeping the Dielectric slab dimension constant.
