Why is it important?

BrafV637E mutation, which is found in several human cancers, plays an important role in DEN-induced liver tumors in B6C3F1 mice.

Perspectives

DEN is a widely used liver carcinogen in mouse tumor models. However, the mutational mechanism was not elucidated. By next generation sequencing, we found frequent mutation of BrafV637E mutation in liver tumors in B6C3F1 mice.
