What is it about?

Uniform single crystals are typical sandwiched structures consisting of chain-folded PCL crystal layer surrounded by solvated P2VP layers, and exhibits high axial ratio. The formation of the single crystals depends on the temperature of the copolymer solution and the solvent quality.

Why is it important?

Our findings suggest that block copolymer single crystals can be facilely prepared in micellar system as long as suitable solvent conditions are chosen, and this may be an alternative to self-seeding method for growth of uniform single crystals.
