What is it about?

More and more journals and publishers require authors to supply their ORCID iDs when submitting articles, and publishers that have signed the ORCID Workflows Open Letter (https://lnkd.in/eJtpeq8) are committed to using best practices to collect authenticated ORCID iDs from authors and deposit them with Crossref. The key word here is “authenticated”: to fulfill that commitment, you need to ensure those iDs stay authenticated through your entire workflow, from collection to Crossref deposit. In this new Learned Publishing article, Robin Dunford and I set out a method for doing this, using eXtyles ORCID Integration Suite: https://lnkd.in/ez42sV5
