What is it about?

It is about the understanding of soil particles selection by wind, which in the long term produces textural changes in the topsoil.

Why is it important?

The mechanism of clay aggregation in soil aggregates with different susceptibility to wind erosion in topsoils of different textures is unclear. The understanding of this mechanism improves the assesment of particles selection by wind and therefore the evaluation of soil degradation by wind erosion on soils of different textures.

Perspectives

This paper evaluated and discussed an irreversible soil degradation process of arid and semiarid environments.
