Why is it important?

This paper is being highly cited because it shows that SOC changes vary from intensive losses to gains, but the mean change is actually non-significant, i.e. null.

Perspectives

It is a follow-up study (of Zinn et al., Soil Till. Res. 2005) specifying the effect of an important land use system in SOC pools.
