Perspectives

This report on the "First International Consensus Conference on Adnexal Masses: Management Recommendations" provide a number of new recommendations to help both the junior and serior users of women's Imaging to improve management of women with adnexal masses. The goal of this report is to reduce unnecessary surgery in women with benign masses whilst improving referring to gyne-oncologist in masses suspicious malignant, an under-utilized but potentially life-saving option for women with ovarian malignancies. Further more this article introduces the IOTA Simple Terms and algorithmic approaches to the triage of adnexal masses
