What is it about?

Glyphosate is a commonly used herbicide globally. With extensive use of the herbicide, water bodies in the vicinity of the applied areas may get contaminated. This study has developed two accurate and simple methods to analyse glyphosate and its major metabolite AMPA in different inland waters, including hard water.

Why is it important?

This study explains two rapid and easy test methods for analysing glyphosate and AMPA in inland waters. These methods have used commonly used modified C 18 UPLC columns. Therefore, any laboratory having LC_MS/MS facility can quickly adopt the method.

Perspectives

I hope this article gives a simple, rapid and accurate method. Therefore, any researcher engaging with residue level analysis of glyphosate and AMPA can effortlessly adopt this method.
