What is it about?

Regular oral intake of ibuprofen pills for local pain like pain at knee, back, and joints may lead to stomach problems. Applying a topical gel or cream like product on the painful skin area helps to relieve pain and may reduce the risk of such stomach problems. A new silicone gel formulation has been prepared and tested in the lab and on live animals to demonstrate the efficient delivery of ibuprofen via skin.
