What is it about?
Emotional labor is a type of labor like physical or cognitive labor which symbolizes the effort required to manage one's feelings or emotions at work. According to this new approach , the fake emotional efforts which can be called as surface acting shouldn't be apart of emotional labor because it is unethical and creates negative outcomes on employees like burnout and invention to leave.

This emotional labor theory save emotional labor concept from negativity. It depends on business ethics and real feelings.

Emotional efforts represents our real feelings involving natural feelings. Our emotions at work is important because we present ourselves with our emotions. Our emotions and perception change according to personality. As a summary, we need to use our own emotions while working. Our real emotions at work help us to show our personality and increase outcomes like job satisfaction, engagement and wellbeing.
